I just got two videos back from my show last month at Art Share. It was my first time playing with live projections, which were created by my partner Kelly McGillicuddy. Both use manipulated footage from very very old French science documentaries. For On Geology, Kel used a documentary about liquid crystals – which I’d never heard of aside from old calculator displays, and are apparently crazy looking – and for Barnes Ryken she used a good bit of microscopic (or up to jellyfish-sized) deep sea life.
